The rooms have been carefully planned and allocated to house various age groups:

Babies and Toddlers

Our under two’s occupy the ground floor with an open plan design whereby the Baby room is connected to the Toddler Area, giving a seamless transition to the next stage in the babies’ development and growth.

 

Baby Room – allocated specially for our youngest of babies until they are mobile. It is appropriately equipped with baby gym, soft toys and furnishings.

Babies (3 months to approximately 15 months) benefit from a bright and airy sectioned part of the large room. We provide a dedicated sleep room where babies are supplied with their own bedding with the temperature constantly monitored to ensure babies are comfortable at all times.

 

Each baby is encouraged to develop through creative and sensory activities.

 

Toddlers occupy the rest of the large room and is equipped with age appropriate toys and equipment with a direct access to the garden. This age group enjoy activities structured around their changing interests. The Toddlers Room is well appointed, allowing your child to discover at their individual level of understanding.

 

The Toddlers have their lunch and tea in a conservatory overlooking the garden.

 

The under twos have access to the Messy Room which has a sand and water play area, a construction area to develop co-ordination and a messy area for arts and crafts

Nursery Room

Children move to this room when they turn 2.

 

This room houses children aged 2 to 3 years. It has been designed with creative areas, reading corner, role play area to develop and stimulate the toddlers’ inquisitive minds. As this is an age where most children start toilet training the children have access to brightly decorated children’s toilets where children are supported to learn toilet training skills.

Pre-School

Set over 2 upper floors children have access to a large bright and spacious area allows pre-school children aged 3 to 5 years to develop their numeracy and literacy skills with specific areas to facilitate this. The room benefits from creative and messy play, a home corner, a reading corner and a free play area to allow them to participate in a well-structured day which helps prepare them for primary school.

 

Pre-school children also have access to another room which is housed with ICT, book corner, a quiet area allowing for a smaller group of children to do an activity. Pre-school children have their own toilets and sinks to help encourage independence.

 

They have access to their own toilets and learn to become independent to use toilets under watchful staff.
